THE WALKERTON & DISTRICT HOSPITAL FOUNDATION WILL BE RAISING $1.4 MILLION OVER THE NEXT TWO YEARS TO FULLY REPLACE THE X-RAY SUITE IN THE WALKERTON HOSPITAL’S DIAGNOSTIC IMAGING DEPARTMENT. THIS EQUIPMENT INCLUDES THE FLUOROSCOPY TUBE & TABLE, WALL BUCKY & TUBE, PORTABLE UNIT AND DR PLATE. THE CURRENT EQUIPMENT HAS REACHED END OF LIFE AND IS NO LONGER ABLE TO BE SERVICED AS OF DECEMBER 2025. X-RAY EQUIPMENT IS ESSENTIAL TO KEEPING OUR EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT OPERATIONAL, MAKING THIS AN URGENT NEED.

Remember and honour your loved one and leave a lasting memory by donating to the X-Ray Suite Replacement Fundraising Campaign

There are a few ways to donate in memory:

  • You can choose to purchase a bone ($5,000) in their memory. The name of the donor and person being honoured will both be recognized on our ‘buy-a-bone’ wall and our campaign donor recognition piece.

  • Direct donations through the funeral home toward the ‘X-Ray Fundraising Campaign’. This ensures that donated funds will be applied to this campaign and not toward the Foundation’s general fundraising goals. There is the option as well to have these funds applied toward a bone purchase and the family can top up the donation to the $5,000 amount if that is the wish. If the amount doesn’t reach $5,000, the donation will be recognized on our campaign donor wall at the appropriate level, where all donations $1,000+ will be recognized.
